How Do I Add Payroll Commission and View Payroll Reports in Keystone?

Learn how to add payroll commission and view payroll reports in Keystone, giving admins control over payroll settings and reports. Setting up payroll details helps streamline compensation and ensures accurate financial reporting.

To add your payroll commission rates and generate payroll reports in Keystone, start by clicking the Gear Icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Navigate to Payroll:

The Commission Rate option allows you to set a company-wide default commission rate for all inspectors. You can choose to set a fixed amount or a percentage for your commission.

If you prefer to set commission rates for individual inspectors, go to Settings (via the Gear Icon in the top right) and navigate to the employees profile:


Scroll down to find Commission Settings. Here, you can either set a default commission for all services for that inspector or set a commission rate based on specific services.

To pull the payroll report, click on the Gear Icon and scroll down to Payroll on the left-hand side. Select Generate Payroll Report.

Once inside the payroll report section, you can customize the date range for the report. You also have the option to exclude vendors from the report if needed.

After setting the date range, click Generate Report. Keystone will generate a payroll report for all inspectors and services within the selected time frame. If more than one inspector is assigned to a service (e.g., two inspectors on an inspection), Keystone will split the total amount in half and calculate the commission based on each inspector’s portion. You can also download the report as a CSV file to filter or edit the data as needed.
