Learn how to read your Repair Pricer report and understand the cover page, summary, detailed breakdown by contractor type and the Whole Home Estimate.
Cover Page
Here’s an overview of the essential elements located in the first page of your report:
- Property Address: The address of the property being evaluated.
- Timestamp: The time the report was published. This is useful if there are multiple versions of the report (e.g., if new information was added later).
- Courtesy Of: The company that provided the report or the team that prepared it.
- Help Link: For questions, click the Questions? Click here to get help link. This takes you to the support team or our knowledge base.
Summary Page
The Summary Page gives you an at-a-glance view of your report. Here you’ll find major areas of concern. If there are significant issues, like electrical problems, this section highlights them. This is great for deciding if further inspection or contractor work is needed.
Detailed Breakdown by Contractor Type
After the summary, each issue from your home inspection is broken down by contractor type (electrician, mason, etc.). For each issue, you’ll see:
- Inspector’s Comments: These are the original comments from your home inspection report, making it easy to cross-reference.
- Page Number Reference: This corresponds to the page number from your home inspection report for easy cross-checking.
- Repair Action and Cost Estimate: We provide the suggested action and projected cost for each repair. These estimates are based on data like photos, inspector comments, and even satellite imagery.
Whole Home Estimate
This estimate is what it would cost to repair every single item in the report as if you hired one general contractor to do all the work at once. Keep in mind, the itemized list may show higher totals because individual contractors charge trip fees.
Final Page
When you reach the last page, you’ve completed your review of the report. The final page will confirm that there are no further issues noted. This page also includes our contact information in case you have questions.
