How do I request a Data Import to Keystone?

Learn how to request data imports into Keystone, enabling admins to transfer important business data securely and efficiently.

Properly importing data helps ensure a smooth transition and accurate information management in your system.

To request a data import into Keystone, start by reaching out to our support team at KeystoneSupport@InspectionGo.com. Currently, we support data imports from two scheduling software platforms: ISN and HIT. If you're using a different software, contact support, and we can discuss potential solutions.

Once you request a data import, you’ll either provide us access to your current software or send over specific files we need for the import. Our support team will guide you through the process of obtaining the required data files.

After receiving the data files, we’ll import them into a Keystone test account. This allows you to review the data, ensuring its accuracy and cleanliness. You'll have the opportunity to check for duplicates or other inconsistencies.

Once you confirm the data is clean, give us the green light, and we will import it into your live production account—the one used for your actual orders.

It's important to note:

  1. Data import process takes about a week from start to finish.
  2. Data cannot be deleted from Keystone once imported, which is why reviewing the test account is critical.
  3. While we are working on a way to merge contacts, duplicates will still occur if small differences exist between contact profiles (e.g., capitalized vs. lowercase names).

That’s how the data import process works in Keystone.
